Plumbing for Shower Tray

Plumber been to cottage today to make the drain for the shower tray, not an easy job as its being set into a concrete floor, and the drain needed to be set in a channel dug into the concrete outside

Tiles for Bathroom

Delivery of bathroom tiles arrived today. Wagon driver had a bit of a problem manouvering the crate off the back of his wagon and placing near to the kerb.

22 square metres of travertine tiles plus adhesive and grout to be carried from the roadside,

 up the front steps and into the cottage...one achey back later and they are all safely stacked inside.

Tiling hopefully to commence on Monday...

Bathroom Tiling

Have received and accepted quotation from tiler to carry out work in bathroom.
First step is for plumber to install the shower tray and drain, then tiler will commence to fit tiles to walls.
Electrician will then install underfloor heating insulation boards and heating mat and probe, and tiler will then return to tile the floor

Had much deliberation about type of tiles...lots of visits to tile suppliers...
Finally decided on Travertine with a border...pics to follow

Plastering complete

All rooms are now plastered and painting is ongoing. The coving and picture rail have been fitted, and given several coats of white paint.
