December 2010..the lounge floor boards were taken up to reveal joists, and the brick wall treated with Dryzone damp proofing cream. Whilst the boards were up, the plumber installed the new gas pipe from the meter, under the lounge floor, through the stone wall into the kitchen.
New joists and boards replaced those damaged by damp.
A blocked air brick leading under the floor was cleared and additional earth removed from beneath the joists to allow ventilation.

The fireplace has been pointed, and a new concrete plinth made for the gas fire
We decided to replace the ceilings with new, rather than overboard old ones...then plastering began
