Fitted Kitchen!

After a busy two days, the 3 kitchen fitters have completed work on fitting kitchen units in L shaped configuration....We still have some tidying, trim to paint or stain and sorting to do, but so far looking very nice.

Shabby Chic'ing

Been busy today, sanding down and painting 2 cabinets

They were initially white, someone had painted them beige..now going back to chalk white.

I will update pics when they are finished and have new door and drawer knobs (still to source and buy)

Another Sunny Day - more painting

We intend to have the outside wall areas, cottage and garage rendered at some point, but in meantime have decided to coat some of these areas with masonery paint.

Tidying Rear Courtyard

Well this morning the sun was shining, what a glorious day..so I set to with my paint and brush, and painted one side wall of courtyard..which now makes such a difference, the sun dazzles on the brilliant white paint!!

Sky Television Installation

Booked for Sky engineer to call to install Sky television, his job made easier by fact that when cottage was rewired, our electrician installed aerial cables into lounge - pre-empting fact that we would one day require Sky TV.

According to engineer, the only suitable place for the satellite dish was on the left gable wall ( no longer it seems fix them to chimneys, which would have been more suitable option) - we just have to hope that next doors' landlord is happy with install overhanging his driveway, although fixed to our gable wall.

All up and running ok...

After spending a week watching TV on a small portable TV with only terrestrial channels 1-5, having option of 500+ channels is a real luxury!

Beautiful early morning sunshine

Decided this morning to have an early morning bike ride around the village.

The sun is up, we have temperatures forecast today of 27 degrees, still a little hazy.

Our cottage is mid-centre of this photo, the only single storey in a terrace of double height houses

Garden in Late Spring Sunshine

At last the sun has made an appearance!

The front garden is looking lovely with spring flowers, and I have started potting up some perennial plants into tubs for rear courtyard garden.
