North View Cottage has now SOLD

Is this the end of an era, as the cottage now now been sold?

We have had some fantastic times here at our lovely cottage, with many visiting family and friends too, and we will be very sad to say goodbye. However, we are ready to move onto our next exciting renovation project, the big question is though, do we make a blog for our next home - Whinwood! Watch this space..... thanks to everyone who has followed us on our cottage journey, and we hope you've enjoyed an insight to our journey as we  have renovated North View Cottage.

We have decided to put our lovely cottage up for sale

After almost 6 years of owning the cottage, all the blood, sweat, tears, emotion and lots of love that we have out into the design and renovation, the time has come to say goodbye.

We are not going into this lightly, but we have now discovered our "retirement" house, that we aim to spend our dotage years in! Crikey, that makes us sound really ancient, but the truth is, we have been searching for a while for a house with both the potential to create a lovely home, plus a garage and a garden, and we think we have found it, not far from North View Cottage.

So the decision has been made to market North View Cottage. We've had such fun working with you, enjoying our times spent here,  it will be hard to leave you behind. anyway, here is a sneak peak at the Estate Agents photographs taken to market the cottage ....... and if you know anyone looking for a lovely cottage, please get in touch.

Fitting of a new front door

We have lived with the old "jam-jar" glass  front door since we bought the cottage, but the old Yale lock on the door has never really been totally secure. We decided to invest in a new composite door for additional security and to provide a draught free hallway.

We've opted for a Farrow and Ball French Grey colour, to co-ordinate with the outside front window frames of the cottage.

Removing the old door and re-fitting the new model took around 3 hours from start to finish, with no mess to clean up afterwards! A totally efficient workforce.
